7TH AND 8TH GRADE ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES

The following 7th and 8th grade traveling competitive sports will be offered to all middle school students during the upcoming winter season:
                                      
High School Dance starts on October 24 for students in grades 7-12.
7/8 Boys Basketball starts on October 31 for students in grades 7-8.
High School Girls Hockey starts on October 31 for students in grades 7-12.
High School Nordic Ski starts on November 14 for students in grades 7-12. 
High School Girls Gymnastics starts on November 14 for students in grades 7-12.
High School Wrestling starts on November 21 for students in grades 7-12.
High School Boys Hockey starts on November 21 for students in grades 7-12.
High School Boys Swimming starts on November 28 for students in grades 7-12.
High School Adapted Floor Hockey starts on December 5 for students in grades 7-12. 
7/8 Girls Basketball starts on January 3 for students in grades 7-8.

        Cost for all 7th and 8th grade athletes is $70 per sport. The individual yearly sports cap is $175.  

There will be a sports registration meeting for all high school sports on Tuesday, November 1st at 6:30 p.m. at the high school in the auditorium for students participating in high school boys/girls hockey, gymnastics, boys swim and dive, boys/girls nordic ski, and wrestling.  Individual team meetings will follow at 7:30 p.m.  There will NOT be a sports registration meeting for students in 7/8 boys/girls basketball.   The coaches will give you the registration information after your practice begins.

 
We also have non-athletic activities available such as: Hawk Help Club, Helping Hands, Chess Club, Art Club, Media Club, Fitness Center, and Lego Club. 
 
Before a student can practice or participate in a sport, a current eligibility form must be completed online as well as a current physical per Minnesota State High School League rules. Students and parents must be pro-active in checking on physical dates. Athletic physicals are good for three (3) years. Current physical dates are on file in the After School Activities Office at the Middle School or the High School Athletic Office.
