Our programs will prepare your child for success in kindergarten and beyond!
Our preschool programs bring preschool age children together with the goal of offering engaging, nurturing, creative, and learning opportunities in a safe and enriched classroom. Children will explore, create and learn!
Our preschools work with children to develop positive self images and outstanding academic skills. Our preschools ensure children are prepared for a successful transition to kindergarten. Staff implement the Creative Curriculum which is developmentally appropriate and in alignment with both the Early Childhood Indicators of Progress and the Winona Area Public School's goals.

Community KIDS Preschool
Bright Beginnings, Bright Beginnings Plus and Smart Start Programs
Community KIDS Preschool is located at Goodview Elementary, 5100 West 9th Street. The preschool is a collaboration with School Readiness and Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). Classes are co-taught by a Early Childhood Preschool teacher and an Early Childhood Special Education teacher, allowing opportunities for children with varied abilities to learn and play together.
Our highly qualified and experienced teachers hold four-year degrees and are licensed by the state of MN. Teachers participate district training, professional development as well as contributing to the district-wide Professional Learning Communities where we work to improve teaching techniques and student progress. Staff continually track children's progress throughout the year using Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment.
Community KIDS Preschool is proud to be a four-star rated program - the highest rating possible through Minnesota's Parent Aware Program! The Minnesota Four-Star Parent Aware rating recognizes our preschool excellence. Parent Aware's rating system helps you find child care and early education providers in your area focused on high quality early learning and kindergarten readiness.
The four star rating allows us to offer Early Learning Scholarships to eligible families to help cover the cost of preschool.
